  Loco 42905.jpg - Number 42905 - Crab 2-6-0 - Designed by George Hughes - Built Sept 1930 at Crewe Works for the LMS Railway. Photographed on 6th October 1956, after picking up cattle at the Long Preston cattle dock. A total of 245 Crabs were built between 1926 and 1932 at Horwich and Crewe; they were designed for mixed traffic. It was shedded at Carlisle Kingmoor in 1948. Its last shed was Newton Heath. Withdrawn from service in July 1965 & disposed of in Feb 1966.
